Role: Bank Staff Nurse – Chemotherapy Day Unit

Location: The Christie Private Care, Manchester

Working Hours: Flexible shifts available Monday to Saturday. Commitment of one to two shifts per week.

What you'll do:

• Administer Systemic Anti Cancer Therapy (SACT) safely and effectively in line with local policies, national guidance and individual treatment protocols.
• Provide outstanding nursing care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients receiving cancer treatments.
• Monitor patients throughout treatment, recognising and responding appropriately to adverse reactions and treatment related complications.
• Work closely with oncologists, pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless and personalised patient care.
• Provide supportive education and guidance to patients and their families throughout their treatment journey.

What you'll bring:

• Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Current SACT competency and proven experience administering chemotherapy independently within an oncology or haematology setting.
• Demonstrable experience caring for patients receiving systemic anti cancer treatments, with a strong understanding of treatment pathways and symptom management.
• Excellent clinical assessment, communication and patient education skills, with a compassionate and patient centred approach.
• The ability to work effectively within a specialist multidisciplinary team and the flexibility to support a range of bank shifts.
