Working Hours: Flexible shifts available Monday to Saturday. Commitment of one to two shifts per week.
At The Christie Private Care, every role contributes to something deeply meaningful. As a specialist cancer centre, we support patients through some of the most important moments of their lives, delivering personalised care that combines clinical excellence with genuine compassion. Joining our Chemotherapy Day Unit means becoming part of a highly skilled team dedicated to providing outstanding treatment and support for patients receiving cancer therapies.
Working in partnership with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, The Christie Private Care offers access to one of Europe's leading cancer centres. Our colleagues care for patients receiving a wide range of systemic anti cancer treatments, including complex chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapies, within a purpose built environment designed specifically for cancer care. You'll work alongside experienced oncology professionals and be part of a service that is focused on delivering safe, innovative and patient centred care.
As a Bank Staff Nurse within our Chemotherapy Day Unit, you'll enjoy the flexibility to work around your lifestyle while continuing to develop your specialist oncology skills. Our internal bank offers the freedom to choose shifts that suit your commitments, providing greater control over your work life balance while remaining connected to a supportive and experienced team. It's an ideal opportunity for experienced chemotherapy nurses looking for flexibility without compromising on the quality of care they deliver or the clinical environment they work within.
At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
Why HCA UK?
Originally founded over 50 years ago by Dr Thomas Frist, HCA Healthcare has grown to become one of the world's leading healthcare providers. In the UK, we're one of the largest providers of privately funded healthcare and have invested over £500 million in the latest treatments, technology, techniques, medication and facilities. Being part of a large multisite healthcare group means you'll have access to learning opportunities, professional development and a supportive network of colleagues, alongside working conditions that prioritise your physical and mental wellbeing.
At The Christie Private Care, you'll be part of a close knit specialist cancer community where expertise, compassion and collaboration sit at the heart of everything we do. Whether you're looking to maintain your specialist chemotherapy skills, broaden your oncology experience or enjoy the flexibility that bank working provides, you'll find a welcoming environment where your contribution is recognised and valued.
At HCA UK we believe exceptional care starts with our people. We celebrate the unique perspectives and different experiences each of us bring because we know that when you feel seen, heard and supported, you can be at your best for our patients and each other.
Our mission is simple. Above all else, we're committed to the care and improvement of human life. To achieve this, we live and breathe four core values:
We believe everyone should feel comfortable bringing their full self to work and be afforded the same opportunities. As a Disability Confident committed organisation, we're happy to discuss flexible working arrangements to suit your needs and offer reasonable adjustments throughout our recruitment process and in the workplace to anyone who needs them.

HCA Healthcare is dedicated to giving people a healthier tomorrow.
As one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare is comprised of 189 hospitals and approximately 2,600 sites of care in 19 states and the United Kingdom. In addition to hospitals, sites of care include surgery centers, freestanding ERs, urgent care centers, diagnostic and imaging centers, walk-in clinics and physician clinics.
Many things set HCA Healthcare apart from other healthcare organizations; however, at our core, our greatest strength is our people. Every day, more than 320,000 colleagues go to work with a collective focus: our patients. Our focus positively impacts the care experience at the bedside and beyond.
We are proud of the impact we have in our communities through employment, investment and charitable giving.
HCA Healthcare is a learning health system that uses our approximately 47 million annual patient encounters to advance science, improve patient care and save lives. At HCA Healthcare, we are excited about the future of medicine. We believe we are uniquely positioned to play a leading role in the transformation of care.
