Senior Healthcare Assistant
Woodlands Hospital
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Ward team here at Woodlands Hospital. In this role, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care and clinical outcomes in a supportive and professional environment.
Working closely with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals, you will provide high-quality care to patients throughout their hospital journey. You will demonstrate compassion, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring patients receive a positive and safe experience during their stay.
This role will suit an experienced Healthcare Assistant who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working within a team, and is keen to further develop their skills within an independent healthcare setting.
What you'll bring with you
Previous healthcare experience within an acute hospital, ward, or care environment
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Level 3 desirable)
Understanding of patient-centred care principles
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Caring, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care
Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
Flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the service
Basic IT and computer skills
Willingness to undertake further training and development
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the delivery of high-quality patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses
Support patients with activities of daily living whilst promoting independence and dignity
Monitor and record patient observations as directed
Maintain accurate patient documentation
Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
Ensure patient areas are clean, safe, and well-stocked
Support infection prevention and control procedures
Contribute to a positive patient experience and maintain excellent customer service standards
Work in accordance with Ramsay Health Care policies and procedures

Woodland Hospital is one of Northamptonshire's leading private hospitals located in Kettering. Woodland Hospital has 28 single rooms, all with en suite facilities, 10 short stay beds and a surgical extended care unit. The fully equipped theatre suite with ultra clean air technology is particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures offered such as arthroscopy, hip and knee replacements, including hip resurfacing and spinal surgery.
