Bank Pharmacist

Location Fitzwilliam Hospital, Peterborough

Contract Bank (ad hoc)

Hours Typically Weekdays: 09:00–17:00; Saturdays: 09:00-16:00hrs

Fitzwilliam Hospital is seeking a flexible, experienced Bank Pharmacist to support clinical services on an ad hoc basis, ensuring safe and effective medicines use within an elective setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Medicines reconciliation, history taking, and clinical screening
  • Identify and resolve medicines-related issues
  • Provide advice on dosing, interactions, and optimisation
  • Support discharge planning and patient counselling
  • Monitor and document adverse drug reactions
  • Dispense and check medicines, including Controlled Drugs
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team

Part of Ramsay Health Care UK, Fitzwilliam Hospital delivers care to NHS, private, and self-pay patients across General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, and Cosmetic Surgery.

Requirements

Essential: MPharm, GPhC registration, strong communication skills, flexible approach

Desirable: Hospital experience; CMM (JAC) and Maxims knowledge
