Spire Leicester Hospital are looking to recruit a Chef to join their established team on an ad-hoc bank basis. If you are also looking to progress your current experience in the catering sector – this may be the right role for you.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

Spire Bushey Hospital is one of North London and Hertfordshire’s leading private hospitals, with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality private hospital treatment. All of our consultants are highly experienced and many enjoy national and international reputations. The hospital offers a premium service in key areas of complex healthcare including orthopaedics, neurology, spinal, general, cardiac care, and gynaecology.

Spire Bushey Hospital forms part of a 4 site portfolio, and is supported by and works alongside Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre, Elstree Cancer Centre and Spire Pathology Centre – based on Centennial Park in Elstree - just 5 minutes from the main hospital site.

Duties and responsibilities

• To Deliver High levels of food & Service through all areas of hospitality
• To support the head/senior chef in all aspects of the kitchen & maintaining standards
• To maintain a safe working environment for all staff and customers, Both Internal & External
• Ensure all HACCP is adhered to
• To ensure efficient consistent delivery of food throughout all hospitality
• To foster and maintain a culture of assistance between kitchen and server staff and all departments within Spire Healthcare
• To lead by example and ensure consistency of all food production and presentation

Who we're looking for

• NVQ level 2 or higher preferred
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Hold relevant certificates or be willing to undertake specialist training in specific areas
• Knowledge & Experience in similar establishment
• Professional self-starter able to work unaided
• Highly organised and capable of working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
