Starting Rate: $14.58 per Hour

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Lafayette School Corporation is seeking an organized, dependable, and enthusiastic individual to serve as the Band Office Assistant supporting the Instrumental Music Program at Tecumseh Junior High School and Sunnyside Intermediate School.
This position provides administrative, organizational, and logistical support to the teachers and staff of the Music Department. The Band Office Assistant plays an important role in helping the department operate efficiently while supporting the day-to-day needs of students, families, and music staff.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary office assistant for the Instrumental Music Program and will work collaboratively with the Choral Music Assistant to support the overall Music Department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Some evening and weekend work will be required in connection with concerts, competitions, and other Music Department events. Overtime may be available when appropriate.

The Lafayette School Corporation has a strong tradition of providing students with opportunities to participate in instrumental music throughout their educational experience. The band program helps students develop musicianship, teamwork, responsibility, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for music.
The Music Office Assistant is an important part of this program, helping teachers manage the many organizational and logistical responsibilities necessary to provide high-quality musical experiences for students.
ABOUT OUR SCHOOLS
Sunnyside Intermediate School serves Lafayette School Corporation students in grades 5 and 6 and provides an important transition between the elementary and secondary school experience. Students have opportunities to explore a variety of academic and extracurricular programs, including instrumental music.
Tecumseh Junior High School serves students in grades 7 and 8 and provides a comprehensive junior high school experience designed to prepare students for success at Jefferson High School and beyond. The school offers students a wide range of academic, extracurricular, athletic, and performing arts opportunities.
Because this position serves both Sunnyside Intermediate School and Tecumseh Junior High School, the Music Office Assistant has the opportunity to support students as they grow and develop within the LSC instrumental music program.
