We are currently seeking an experienced Band 7 Locum Senior Dosimetrist to join a leading oncology department in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art radiotherapy centre, contributing to high-quality cancer treatment planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiotherapy dosimetry and treatment planning, working collaboratively with clinical oncologists, radiographers, and physicists.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Dosimetrist, you will be responsible for the accurate planning and calculation of radiation treatment dose s for cancer patients, ensuring optimal treatment delivery while minimising exposure to surrounding healthy tissues. You will work with advanced radiotherapy techniques such as IMRT, VMAT, and IGRT, using the latest treatment planning systems. You will liaise closely with oncologists, radiographers, and medical physicists to develop personalised treatment plans, adhering to strict safety protocols and quality assurance standards. Additionally, you will contribute to workflow optimisation, protocol development, and continuous improvement initiatives within the radiotherapy department.
