Band 7 Locum Senior Dosimetrist

Location: London
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 5 months
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £36.00 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Dosimetrist to join our team in London on a temporary basis. This Band 7 role offers a competitive rate of £36 per hour and involves working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The position is available for an initial duration of 5 months, with an immediate start required. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Dosimetrist, you will play a critical role in planning and delivering precise radiation treatment plans for patients undergoing radiotherapy. You will collaborate closely with clinical oncologists, radiographers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care. Key responsibilities include creating and optimizing dosimetry plans, performing quality assurance checks, maintaining accurate patient records, and contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical practices. Planning experience using eclipse, must be able to plan prostates, breast and other sites. SRS and SABR planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Medical Physics, Radiotherapy, or a related field.
  • Certification in Dosimetry or a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Registration with the HCPC or other applicable professional body.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Senior Dosimetrist or equivalent role.
  • Proficiency in treatment planning systems (e.g., Eclipse, Pinnacle, or RayStation).
  • Strong understanding of radiation physics and safety protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining professional standards.
