Banding: Band 7
Location: Wigan, Lancashire
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Rate £30 - £31 per hour
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00am –17:00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 Cath Lab Radiographer to join a dynamic and supportive team based in Wigan. This role is ideal for a skilled radiographer with recent and detailed experience in a busy cardiac catheterisation laboratory, looking to contribute to high-quality diagnostic and interventional procedures. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe and effective imaging services for the client’s patients.

What will your responsibilities be

The post holder will be responsible for delivering high standards of radiographic imaging within the cardiac catheterisation lab, ensuring optimal image quality and patient care throughout procedures. Duties include operating imaging equipment during diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, assisting cardiologists and clinical staff, maintaining accurate patient records, and adhering to radiation protection protocols. The role also involves supporting junior staff, participating in quality assurance activities, and contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical services.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a Cath Lab setting
  • Proven ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and IR(ME)R regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competence in using advanced imaging equipment and software
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
