Position: Band 6/7 Locum Community Physiotherapist

Banding: 6/7

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week (part-time considered)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, Core Hours

Duration: 3 months

Rate: £24.00 - £32.00 PH


Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6/7 Locum Community Physiotherapist to join the Jean Hayes Reablement Unit in Wigan. The role is available for a duration of 3 months and involves working up to 37.5 hours per week, with part-time options also considered. The successful candidate will be HCPC registered and have the right to work in the UK. This position requires a strong background in intermediate care and rehabilitation, with a focus on frail and elderly patients, and experience in a community setting.

What your responsibilities will be for this Physiotherapist role?

As a Band 6/7 Locum Community Physiotherapist, you will provide comprehensive physiotherapy services within the community setting of the Jean Hayes Reablement Unit. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments of patients, developing and implementing personalised rehabilitation plans, and delivering interventions to support their recovery and improve functional independence. You will manage a caseload that primarily includes frail and elderly patients, ensuring high-quality care and effective management of their needs. Your role will involve working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, and you will be expected to maintain accurate patient records and contribute to the development of the rehabilitation service.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience in intermediate care and rehabilitation
  • Proven ability to manage frail and elderly patients
  • Community experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work up to 37.5 hours per week, with part-time options available
