Duration: 2 months with possible extension

Hourly Rate: £18 - £20

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time

Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 5 Pharmacy Technician (Accredited Checking Technician/Dispenser) to join the pharmacy team in West London. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified pharmacy technician to work within a busy dispensary environment, supporting the safe and efficient supply of medicines to patients.

The successful candidate will play a key role in dispensary operations, undertaking accredited checking duties, supporting dispensing services, and ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and patient safety are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as an Accredited Checking Technician within the dispensary service.
• Accurately dispense and final check prescribed medicines in line with local policies and procedures.
• Support the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the dispensary.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance with pharmacy regulations.
• Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and wider healthcare teams.
• Assist with stock management and medicines supply processes.
• Support medicines optimisation and patient safety initiatives where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with professional standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Hold an Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) qualification.
• Have previous hospital pharmacy experience.
• Demonstrate strong dispensary and medicines management knowledge.
• Be experienced in dispensing and final accuracy checking processes.
• Possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
