Job Description

Founded by Spanish-born Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1917 and established in Paris in 1937, the original House of Balenciaga defined modern couture with its many innovations to form and technique.
Today it continues to uphold the vision of the House through boundary-pushing collections including women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and objets d’art. The brand’s unprecedented interactions with the expanding digital realm, material developments, and today’s social responsibilities keep it at the forefront of modernity.
In 2021, Balenciaga’s 50th Couture collection—the House’s first since its founder retired in 1968 – reintroduces a standard of cutting-edge elegance. From October 2015 to July 2025, Demna designed both men’s and women’s collections as the Artistic Director.
In July 2025, Pierpaolo Piccioli was appointed Creative Director of Balenciaga.

We are currently seeking a Senior Client Ambassador who will report to the Store Manager as part of our team in Montaigne.

Your opportunity

To elevate the in-store experience beyond traditional luxury retail by delivering a refined, intuitive, and deeply personalized client journey. You will play a key role in building meaningful relationships, driving performance, and embedding a culture of natural, high-level client engagement within the team.

How you will contribute

  • Drive and maximize store performance by striving to meet individual sales objectives, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and relevant styling expert for every client.
  • Master the art of client conversation: engage clients with curiosity and subtlety, asking the right questions to understand their lifestyle, preferences, and intentions.
  • Translate listening into action by curating precise product selections, proposing alternative silhouettes and complementary pieces with ease and credibility.
  • Go beyond product storytelling: enrich client interactions with references to art, culture, design, gastronomy, or collecting, building a richer and more memorable dialogue.
  • Demonstrate sharp client instinct and responsiveness: identify cues and opportunities and naturally introduce relevant pieces or exclusive items from the collection.
  • Build and develop a strong and diverse client portfolio, nurturing long-term relationships through consistent, thoughtful, and personalized engagement.
  • Act as a clienteling role model and coach within the team, elevating collective standards by sharing best practices and encouraging authentic and confident interactions.
  • Contribute actively to the store’s clienteling strategy, supporting client acquisition, retention, and reactivation with a proactive mindset.
  • Act as a bridge between the House and its clients, ensuring a clear and inspiring translation of the creative vision to both loyal and new audiences.
  • Represent the Maison beyond the boutique, embodying its values during private appointments and external events when required
  • Ensure operational excellence and support key store responsibilities when needed (opening/closing of the store, respect of guidelines, overall standards).

Who you are

  • Bring solid and proven experience in luxury retail, ideally within High Fashion, Couture, or Luxury Maisons with a strong clienteling culture.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record in client portfolio development, exceptional customer retention, and clienteling-driven sales performance.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of observation and emotional intelligence. You are curious, culturally aware, and agile in conversation, with the ability to build meaningful connections through shared interests.
  • Combine commercial drive with elegance and restraint, knowing when to lead, suggest, or step back in the client interactions.
  • Display natural leadership and a coaching mindset, actively elevating the team’s clienteling approach by setting the tone and sharing concrete, actionable ways to engage clients with authenticity.
  • Speak fluently French and English. Mastering a third language is a strong asset to engage with our diverse local and international clients.

Why work with us?

This is a fabulous opportunity to join the Balenciaga adventure and to actively contribute to the development of the business by becoming part of a thriving Atelier in a global Luxury Group that offers endless possibilities to learn and grow.
