About the Role

Riverbend Co-op invites applications for the position of Part-Time Bakery/Deli Clerk at our Outlook Food Store. This hands-on role supports the bakery and deli team with customer service, food preparation, stocking, cleanliness, food safety, and fresh food programs, including chicken production.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide friendly, helpful service to members and customers.
• Prepare, wrap, stock, display, and price bakery and deli products.
• Support bakery production, including measuring, mixing, baking, decorating, and packaging items.
• Assist with deli production and the chicken program, following proper preparation, monitoring, packaging, and safe food handling procedures.
• Help with customer questions, deli purchases, and special orders.
• Receive, store, rotate, and track products to help keep items fresh and department standards consistent.
• Keep the department, equipment, prep areas, and customer spaces clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, health and safety, and Co-op procedures, including refrigeration temperature checks.

What You Will Need

• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Friendly customer service skills and the ability to work well with fellow Team Members.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced food environment.
• The ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and safe work procedures.
• The ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Previous bakery, deli, food service, or retail experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.
