The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Follow general safety and sanitation procedures and standards.
· Wash bakery and restaurant containers, utensils, pots, and pans.
· Must notify supervisor or manager anytime tool/machine breaks and requires repair or replacement.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· California Food Handlers card is required for all food service employees who prepare, store, and serve food.
· A willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
· Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work effectively within a sometimes-pressurized environment.
· Bilingual-English/Spanish skills helpful, but not required.
· Ability to read chemical labels, safety documents, and other work-related documents.
Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is required to walk and stand during the shift, continuous use of hands and arms to reach; bend, kneel, and crouch. The employee frequently lifts/ and or moves racks and other utensils, weighing up to 50 pounds. The employee occasionally lifts and empties trashcans weighing up to 75 pounds, with assistance. Specific sensory abilities required by this job include sight and hearing. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to handle tools and bakery/kitchen equipment and is exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and hazardous materials. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
