BAKERY APPRENTICE

Full Time Position

Summary:

Staff of Life Natural Foods began as a whole grain bakery in 1969. Over the years we have developed many locally renowned breads and pastries. We have since grown to a full service natural foods market. We are looking for motivated individuals aspiring to learn the science and craft of baking. Must be organized, responsible and dedicated. Creativity a plus.

Duties:

• Train to produce a wide range of baked goods.
• Maintain inventory.
• Package and distribute products as per pars and orders.
• Maintain proper sanitation. Observe all health and safety rules.
• Follow and comply with established procedures.

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to operate all necessary equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
• Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds.
• Repetitive use of hands.
• Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.).
