Shelly's Indigenous Bistro is an Indigenous-owned and operated restaurant providing dine-in, takeout, delivery, catering

The Full-Time Evening Baker prepares bakery products for evening service, catering orders and the following day's
production. The successful applicant will follow recipes carefully, maintain consistent quality and complete all evening
cleaning and closing duties.
Key Responsibilities
Measure, scale and prepare baking ingredients accurately. Prepare bannock, fry bread, breads, pastries and desserts according to approved recipes. Monitor baking times, temperatures, product quality and presentation. Prepare and package bakery items for restaurant service, catering and special orders. Label, date, store and rotate ingredients and finished products using FIFO procedures. Maintain clean, sanitary and organized bakery workstations and equipment. Restock baking ingredients and assist with inventory organization. Complete assigned opening, closing and sanitation duties.
Qualifications and Requirements
Previous baking, bakery or commercial-kitchen experience is preferred. Basic knowledge of baking techniques, measurements and kitchen safety. Strong attention to recipe accuracy, timing, cleanliness and presentation. Ability to organize production for current and following-day needs. Reliable attendance, punctuality and weekend availability. Manitoba Food Handler Certificate or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
Working Conditions
This onsite position involves extended standing, frequent bending and reaching, repetitive hand movements, and lifting
and carrying up to 60 pounds. The employee must be able to work safely around hot equipment, food products, cleaning
materials and commercial kitchen operations. A three-month probationary period applies.
