To prepare baked goods for the resort's food and beverage outlets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Possess a solid background in breads, pastries, cakes and sauces with the knowledge of cake decorating techniques including wedding cakes.
2. Handle knives excellently and operate all kitchen equipment in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
3. Be able to work with others well in a close environment with a learning attitude possessing speed and efficiency.
4. Be able to assume control of the kitchen in the absence of a Sous Chef.
5. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
6. Follow the kitchen chain of command (i.e. Chefs, Cook I, Cook II, Cook III).
7. Take an active role in the training of new cooks.
8. Duties will range from creative to redundant with large volume baking on a daily basis.
9. Perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must be at least 18 years old, have a safe driving record and the ability to obtain a Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated drivers license.
Other Skills and Abilities The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
