Principal Accountabilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate equipment at the site, including but not limited to packaging equipment, shipping computers, and pallet inverters
  • Safely operate motorized vehicles used to move or lift products, equipment, or materials within and around the plant
  • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Operate computers to check production orders/schedule, print shipping paperwork and labels
  • Input production into the computer accurately
  • Housekeeping tasks
  • Support a culture of Zero Harm by following safety and environmental practices
  • Assist in training new employees
  • Comply with corporate policies and procedures related to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Feed Safety risks associated with products
  • Support a culture of zero fatality, injury, and illness
  • Understand and proactively avoid environmental impact and potential risk to the businesses
  • Perform general tasks around the plant with minimal supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Basic use of a computer
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
  • Prior experience in production-related work
