What You’ll Do
- Research, ticket, and move merchandise to the sales floor safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with store leadership on prioritization, timing, and placement of donations
- Coordinate with donation drivers for proper loading and placement
- Ensure merchandise and donations are handled safely and promptly
- Assist with receiving items and managing the receiving dock as needed
- Supervise employees, volunteers, and customers while maintaining a safe, clean environment
- Lead and motivate staff and volunteers to provide outstanding customer service
- Document and conduct corrective action as necessary
- Serve as a key-carrying supervisor, opening and closing the store independently, including cash handling procedures
- Operate the cash register periodically, as needed
- Represent Habitat positively to all donors, customers, volunteers, and the public
- Maintain reliable attendance, a presentable appearance, and adherence to all Habitat policies

Qualifications
Education/Skills:
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math or POS experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Management and Customer Service experience
- Show initiative
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to move merchandise throughout the store
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs. without assistance, 70 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, Saturdays, and periodic holidays
- Ability to obtain Forklift Certification and operate a forklift on a regular basis
- Ability to climb steps to Forklift cab

Level of Authority:
- Requires minimal supervision
- Ability to engage and motivate staff as well as hold team members accountable in conjunction with store management
- Report to the Store Manager
Estimated Time Commitment: 40+ hours/week. Rotating Monday-Sunday work week. Shifts scheduled based on the needs of the store, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
