Quantum Machines (QM) is a global leader in control systems for quantum computing, a field on the verge of exponential growth. Our innovative hardware and software provide a groundbreaking approach to quantum computer control, scaling from individual qubits to arrays of thousands. At the heart of QM is a passionate and ambitious team committed to reshaping how quantum computers are built and operated. Our work is fueled by a deep understanding of customer needs, enabling us to deliver unparalleled solutions in this revolutionary field.
We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer who embodies ambition and positivity, takes ownership, and collaborates effectively with remote teams to not only meet but exceed our objectives while addressing the evolving needs of our growing customer base.
You will design, build, and maintain backend services that power the control and orchestration systems at the core of our platform, including components that manage system configuration, health, and cluster operations across a distributed, networked environment.
You'll work across the stack to integrate with hardware-facing and embedded systems, collaborate with multiple teams to support installation and setup of software components on our products, and help ensure our systems are reliable, observable, and easy to operate.
The role involves owning features end-to-end, from design through implementation, while working closely with engineers across sites and disciplines.

Quantum Machines envisions a new technological age. A time when quantum computing revolutionizes entire industries, solves global problems, and drives unprecedented innovation.
That’s why we made it our mission to build the Quantum Orchestration Platform (QOP): the platform to realize the full potential of quantum computing technologies at any scale and deliver the most advanced quantum capabilities to quantum system developers.
Built by a world-class multidisciplinary team of quantum scientists and engineers, the QOP powers quantum breakthroughs and accelerates the path towards the new age of quantum computing.
