What You Will Do

• Design and build scalable backend APIs and services that support critical workflows for advanced AI companies.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to rapidly ship features while maintaining high standards for code quality.
• Write production-grade code and contribute to comprehensive technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions to elevate team standards.
• Solve complex real-world problems under practical constraints, impacting customer experiences directly.
• Contribute to core systems that enhance training, evaluation, and scaling for leading AI labs.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering with a strong proficiency in Python or equivalent languages.
• Deep expertise in designing and scaling distributed systems, including APIs and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Skilled in cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, with experience in modern microservices architecture.
• Proven track record of end-to-end ownership of complex backend projects and mentoring junior engineers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impacts.

Preferred

• Experience in high-growth startups or AI labs, particularly those focused on infrastructure and machine learning.
• A strong understanding of system design principles with the ability to lead architecture discussions.

Compensation and Benefits
