What You Will Do

• Design and develop robust, scalable backend services and APIs that enhance internal operations and improve external user experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, infrastructure, and frontend engineering, to deliver impactful features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategies as the platform expands.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and technical debt to ensure optimal system performance.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices while mentoring junior engineers.

Ideal Candidate Background

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with 7+ years preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
• Proven experience in backend engineering with strong fundamentals in system design, API development, and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments with a high standard for engineering quality.
• A history of stability in employment, with no more than two job changes in the last five years.

Preferred

• Experience with Java, Go, or Node.js, and familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Previous involvement in building or scaling systems for high-traffic, mission-critical applications.
