Leaf Space is seeking a Backend Software Developer to design, build, and maintain core services of our GSaaS platform. The role focuses on backend systems, APIs, and data workflows supporting satellite operations. You will translate requirements into scalable solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality features aligned with product vision and customer needs in a modern, cloud-based environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, including technical documentation
Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices
Develop new features in close collaboration with other developers
Contribute to architectural and technical decisions with a focus on long-term sustainability
QUALIFICATIONS AND STUDIES
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
Technical Skills
3-5 years of experience as a backend software developer
Proficiency in Python
Experience with REST APIs (FastAPI) and relational databases (MySQL)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with Version Control Systems (GIT)
Previous experience working in critical environments
Soft Skills

Understanding and addressing end-user needs
Nice to have
Familiarity with Cloud environments
Passion for the Space Industry and related environment
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
