Project description

We have an opportunity for a passionate Backend developer with a strong affinity for big data systems and a willingness to play a key role in a German company's strategic and innovative backend software development team that develops cloud-based security solutions that protect companies and users from cyberattacks and data loss.

The Role

Design cutting-edge distributed architectures and development for large-scale cloud-based systems
Think creatively about new technologies, provide new solutions to old problems, or identify new problems/opportunities
Help create and/or utilize large-scale infrastructure across multiple regions and data centers
Effectively collaborate with teams locally as well as remotely at each stage of the development process
Write clean, maintainable code using the best engineering practices in the industry (DVCS, design patterns, TDD, peer reviews, continuous integration, automated testing, etc.

Technologies stack and tools

Programming languages used: Java, Python, Go, Lua, and maybe a bit of C++
Technologies employed: A lot! For example Kafka, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, various database types, Kibana, Grafana, Ansible, Helm…you name it.

Qualifications

Good knowledge of several programming languages
Experienced in software development under Linux
Being proficient in distributed version control systems
Passion for software engineering and writing clean code
Enjoy solving complex problems and paying attention to details
