The role is for a position within the Risk Systems – Counterparty Measures team in Portugal. The team is split into multidisciplinary squads implementing Scrum inside an agile at scale methodology. It works on three month Program Increments and two week sprints, following all the ceremonies typical of Scrum and Agile at Scale.
The team has as well completed the re-engineering of the counterparty risk system into a highly distributed architecture using a technology stack composed of big data solutions, data grids, compute grids, REST based architectures and a pricing and simulation engine that use Graphics Processing Units. The team also uses development practices such as Continuous Delivery to reduce time taken from development to delivery into production.
The successful candidate will work in a fast paced, agile environment in a multi-disciplinary team. The role is technical with elements of programming and design. It is primarily focused on the Java side of the counterparty risk calculation system. The developer will be working on implementing requirements coming from different sources: Technical, Regulatory and Business.
