The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) platform. You will play a crucial role in leading the technical direction, architecture, and implementation of our backend systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps, will be essential to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions.
You’ll work directly with the founders and engineering leadership to design backend systems that are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient — while also mentoring and growing a high-caliber engineering team.

🛠 What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain backend services for our SaaS platform
• Contribute to scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-based backend workflows
• Support performance, reliability, and monitoring improvements across platform components
• Collaborate with senior engineers and participate in technical discussions and code reviews
• Work cross-functionally with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver new features
• Assist in backend technology decisions, system design, and implementation tasks
• Follow engineering best practices in coding, testing, and deployment processes
• Contribute to team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a strong engineering culture
• Stay updated with backend technologies and continuously improve technical skills

✅ What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of backend development experience in Java, Golang, C++, or similar programming languages
• Good understanding of scalable backend systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications
• Strong grasp of backend fundamentals including data structures, networking, and system design basics
• Ability to debug issues, optimize performance, and write efficient, maintainable code
• Experience working in fast-paced startup or product-based environments is preferred
• Strong ownership mindset with good communication and collaboration skills
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and work closely with senior engineers on complex backend systems
• Passion for building clean, scalable, and reliable software solutions

💡 Bonus Skills

• Experience with cloud data warehouses: Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift
• Hands-on with AWS, GCP, or Azure in production environments
• Familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL systems
• Exposure to building SaaS platforms or developer infrastructure
• Open-source contributions or active engagement in developer communities
