For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer
  • Strong experience in backend development using Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or Java, with the ability to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Recent hands-on experience with Backstage.io, contributing to the development, customization, and maintenance of internal developer platforms and self-service tooling.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining APIs and microservices that integrate with multiple internal and external systems in complex environments.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a solid understanding of cloud-native architectures and services.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, to support scalable and resilient deployments.
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, RESTful API design, and automation principles; experience with GraphQL is considered a plus.
  • Fluency in English (B2)
  • Availability for Remote model based in Portugal ( Candidates should be living in Portugal, and have a Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit, to be considered)
