About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Backend Engineer who will help design, build, and maintain our backend systems. You will work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other backend engineers to deliver scalable and reliable services that power our credit card platform.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Golang
Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching systems to ensure performance and scalability
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing within the team
Help improve system monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure high system availability
Continuously learn and grow as part of a supportive engineering culture
What We’re Looking For
1-4 years of experience in backend development (internships or personal projects also count)
Strong interest or experience in Golang
Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices concepts
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) is a plus
Problem-solving mindset, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills
Ability to communicate in English (our team is international)
Nice to Have
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
Exposure to fintech or payment systems
