With bold growth plans and strong momentum across multiple markets, we’re now looking for more Backend Developers for our next phase of growth.

About the Role

As a Backend Developer at Qred, you will take end-to-end ownership of some systems that power our financial products. You will bridge the gap between technical execution and business impact by building scalable infrastructure while actively contributing to our transition into an agentic-first fintech. This mission-driven role offers the autonomy to implement solutions using agentic AI. This will directly improve the experience of thousands of small businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Build secure, scalable backend services and third-party integrations that align with our long-term architectural vision.

• Collaborate closely with other engineers to design efficient solution and their implementations.

• Deploy, test, and monitor production code while maintaining proper logging, tracing, and system health dashboards.

• Drive the implementation of AI frameworks and automated agents to shift our platform toward an agentic-first operating model.

• Mitigate technical risk by adhering to compliant engineering practices and acting with urgency on security alerts or production incidents.

Our stack: AWS Serverless, Typescript, Node.js, Claude Code, Grafana, Github Actions.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking a structured professional who thrives in a collaborative, focused environment and avoids the trap of multitasking. You have the ability to drive alignment across teams, manage a disciplined workflow, and take proactive ownership of complex problem spaces. You are motivated by building scalable frameworks and establishing high engineering maturity within a fast-paced fintech ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in backend software engineering with Typescript.

• Strong knowledge of backend architecture, secure data transferring, and modern cloud environments.

• Practical exposure to using AI models, LLMs, or building automated agentic workflows.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our headquarters in Stockholm. We believe our culture thrives when we work closely together, which is why we have an office-first approach. To balance this with some flexibility, we have the option of working remotely one day per week. We review applications on a rolling basis and while the start date is flexible, the right candidate can join us immediately.
