You are a Backend Developer passionate about building scalable, high-performance services that power mission-critical applications. You enjoy designing reliable backend solutions, developing event-driven systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience developing backend applications with Node.js.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience working with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Amazon SQS, or similar platforms.
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications on AWS.
• Experience building distributed systems and/or Microservices architectures.
• Experience using Git and working within Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Build, enhance, and support RESTful APIs.
• Design, implement, and maintain asynchronous messaging workflows using RabbitMQ or similar technologies.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications running on AWS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in Agile environments.
• Promote engineering best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of backend services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Node.js development experience.
• Experience developing REST APIs.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, Amazon SQS, or similar messaging technologies.
• AWS experience.
• Experience with Distributed Systems or Microservices.
• Git and Agile experience.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.
