Position Title: Senior WordPress Developer / WordPress Specialist

What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Senior WordPress Developer to support, troubleshoot, and optimize the client’s current WordPress multi-site ecosystem. This person will work closely with the marketing team to maintain and improve multiple business websites, resolve technical issues, support technical SEO implementation, improve performance, and help ensure the sites are stable, scalable, and easy to manage.

The role is focused less on building from scratch and more on being a strong WordPress problem-solver. The ideal candidate should be able to identify issues, recommend better approaches, clean up existing setups where needed, and support a marketing-driven website environment across multiple brands.

The client currently works with WordPress multi-site, WP Engine, Gravity Forms, NitroPack, UTM Grabber, HubSpot, Moveware, CDN/caching tools, and technical SEO workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years strong WordPress experience, ideally in multi-site or multi-brand environments

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting WordPress websites in production

• Experience with managed WordPress hosting environments, ideally WP Engine or similar platforms

• Strong understanding of WordPress plugins, updates, conflicts, and troubleshooting

• Experience working with forms and lead capture workflows, ideally Gravity Forms or similar tools

• Experience with website performance optimization, caching, CDN, and page speed improvements

• Ability to troubleshoot tracking, UTM, analytics, and marketing attribution issues

• Experience supporting technical SEO implementation, including schema, redirects, metadata, sitemaps, crawl/index fixes, and Core Web Vitals improvements

• Ability to review existing WordPress setups and recommend cleaner or more scalable approaches

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently with marketing and internal technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WP Engine

• Experience with WordPress multi-site architecture

• Experience with Gravity Forms

• Experience with NitroPack or similar performance optimization tools

• Experience with UTM Grabber or similar attribution/tracking tools

• Experience with HubSpot or other marketing platforms

• Experience with CRM/API integrations, ideally with tools similar to Moveware

• Familiarity with Git, staging environments, backups, and deployment workflows

• Understanding of WordPress security, uptime, and maintenance best practices

Nice to Have Skills

• PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and MySQL knowledge

• Python for light automation or data workflows

• OpenAI or AI workflow experience

• AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor

• Headless WordPress or modern JavaScript frameworks

• Local SEO or multi-location website experience

• Conversion rate optimization experience

• Structured data and semantic search knowledge

• Experience with AI search optimization or emerging search technologies
