Currently, we are looking for an ambitious Backend Developer to join our team for full-time employment in our beautiful office in New Belgrade.

As a Backend Developer at our company, we expect you to be responsible for:

1. Backend Development & Platform Integrations

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services supporting gaming platform integrations and internal system connectivity.
• Design and implement scalable APIs and integration solutions to support third-party gaming providers and operational platforms.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code using Clojure and related backend technologies.
• Optimize backend services, database interactions, and asynchronous and synchronous processing workflows to improve system performance and reliability.

2. System Performance & Reliability

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to ensure stable performance of integration servers.
• Contribute to backend scalability, maintainability, and system reliability improvements.
• Ensure high availability and operational efficiency across multiple integration environments.

3. Architecture & Technical Collaboration

• Participate in system architecture and technical design discussions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-performing backend solutions.
• Follow security, scalability, and engineering best practices across backend services.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

Required skills:

• 2+ years of experience working with Java, Clojure or Node.js backend technologies.
• Experience in backend software development, including APIs, integrations,
  or distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, RESTful APIs,, asynchronous processing, and microservices environments.
• Good spoken and written English (B1+)

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Will be an advantage:

• Experience within gaming, betting, fintech, or other high-availability platform environments.
• Experience with Kinesis or SQS.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience integrating third-party providers, external APIs, or partner platforms in scalable backend environments.
