Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate with Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Infra Portfolio & Delivery Manager for requirements gathering and infra delivery planning of major and minor projects. 
  • Create server build automation processes 
  • Create procedures, process documents and scripts  
  • Provide server support for test environment. 
  • Create cost model for new server build, storage & backup estimation. 
  • Coordinate and manage external vendor for delivery of server / storage hardware and operating systems to standard designs. 
  • Report to the Infrastructure Component Lead for any team risks and issue. 
  • Create and update Project Cost Model to include Server and quotation details. 
  • Provide technical support of server base build, detail design, implementation process including incident and problem management support on server components. 
  • Work with vendor, supplier and APD team for hardware / software procurement & RFQ 
  • Coordinate with Service and Operations team for server resource management 
  • Maintain Build Guide of different Operating Systems (AIX, Linux, Windows and Solaris) 

TO QUALIFY: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 
  • Basic knowledge of Server Operating Systems (AIX, Linux, Windows and Solaris) 
  • Knowledge in VMWare skills : VMWare-vCenter and Vmware-ESX Server 
  • Backup and Storage 
  • Requirements Analysis 
  • Ability to communicate technical issues 
  • Experience in Client facing 

Good-to-Have: 
  • Experience with ITIL practices, like Incident and Change Management 
  • Background in UNIX Systems Administrator and shell scripting 
  • System Administrator for Solaris, AIX, Red Hat Linux, and Windows 2003 application
