The Back Store Operator plays a critical role in managing inbound stock, coordinating with warehouse teams, ensuring stock integrity, maintaining the back store, and supporting store-level inventory processes. This role ensures smooth merchandise flow and adherence to SOPs with a focus on accuracy and timely execution.
Responsibilities
• Receive stock and confirm ASN as per SOP within timelines
• Coordinate with warehouse for discrepancies, replacements & returns
• Track and report stock excess, shortage, and damage
• Maintain accurate physical and system inventory
• Ensure proper documentation of SRNs, store transfers, and deliveries
• Manage and organize back store area following FIFO and safety standards
• Monitor COD reservations, DO closure, discrepancies, and cancellations
• Prepare and maintain records for damages, SAJs, and stock adjustments
• Execute daily inventory checks and perpetual counts as per schedule
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Timely ASN confirmation and discrepancy resolution (within 48 hours)
• 100% compliance with inventory SOPs and documentation
• Back store audit score ≥ 90%
• Zero negative inventory cases without corrective action
• Timely clearance of COD orders and returns
• Adherence to stock take schedules and variance reporting
• 100% completion of daily inventory hygiene tasks
• Timely reporting and closure of damage and discrepancy cases
