Job Description

At Qodo, we're building an AI Code Review platform that helps developers move fast, ship with confidence, and elevate code quality across the SDLC through deep, scalable codebase understanding.

We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Backend Tech Lead to drive innovation and spearhead the development of cutting-edge AI-powered systems. Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical lead in a product domain. Leading the technical strategy while collaborating with product and mentoring others
  • Scope, break down and lead projects to achieve business impact
  • Architect scalable, high-performance backend systems that power AI-driven developer tools
  • End-to-end contribution to each step of the product development process, from ideation to implementation and release
  • Champion technical excellence by setting coding standards, conducting code reviews, and implementing best practices
  • Influence and shape the product’s vision and strategy by bringing in innovative ideas and technical expertise

Our Backend Technical Stack: Python, TypeScript, NodeJS, LiteLLM, Uvicorn, FastAPI, OpenAI, GCP

Requirements

  • 7+ of hands-on experience building high-performing, internet scale SaaS APIs
  • Solid expertise in Python, TypeScript, NodeJS or similar modern backend languages
  • Deep understanding of the architecture of SaaS applications running in GCP/AWS
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
  • You bring an independent, entrepreneurial attitude and are excited about working in a fast-paced, uncertain, and big-vision environment

Bonus points for any of:

  • You've regularly solved DevOps challenges and infrastructure automation
  • You've worked on building Dev Tools or developer-facing APIs
  • Background in CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-native architectures
  • Familiarity with on-prem environments
