Be a part of CHR’s growing organization!
INTERNSHIP TYPE: Internship - Bachelor's Level
HOURS/SCHEDULE: 15 hours/week
PROGRAM/LOCATION: The Hub, Enfield
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Hub
We believe individuals with mental illness can recover but may need a period of learning and/or re-learning life skills necessary to live, learn, work and socialize in the community environment of their choice. The work ordered day model, adapted from certified clubhouses, allows club members to try out and learn basic skills needed in the community and essential to running the club as a whole. The work ordered day also promotes a feeling among members that this is their clubhouse. Staff and members work side by side. The Clubhouse organizational structure encourages peer leadership and hosts a variety of activities to support recovery, daily low-cost meals (donations accepted as well), social/advocacy trips and job readiness training. This recovery driven environment encourages self-esteem building, leadership, and participation in activities that promote recovery.
