Der Studiengang BWL-Controlling & Consulting vermittelt tiefgreifende Kenntnisse im Controlling und Consulting. Ebenso Wert gelegt wird auf eine breite betriebswirtschaftliche Wissensbasis in Fächern wie Marketing, Organisation, Mitarbeiter- oder Unternehmensführung. Zudem werden die Grundlagen in den notwendigen „Hilfswissenschaften“ der BWL, wie Recht, Volkswirtschaftslehre, Mathematik, Statistik und Informationstechnologie, gelehrt. Einen großen Stellenwert haben die Methoden-, Sozial- und Kommunikationskompetenzen. Veranstaltungen zu Projektmanagement, Verkaufstechniken, Gesprächs- und Verhandlungsführung sowie Wirtschaftsenglisch sorgen für die notwendige Arbeitsfähigkeit in der Praxis.
