Ob in der Beratung oder im Konzern: In jedem IT-Transformationsprojekt müssen Organisation und Prozesse von Unternehmen analysiert und neu geplant werden. IT-, Prozess- und Unternehmensmodellierungswerkzeuge sind dafür zentrale Bausteine – decken jedoch meist nur einzelne Perspektiven der (IT-) Organisation ab.
Was fehlt, ist ein klarer, herstellerneutraler Überblick: Welche Funktionen gibt es überhaupt in EAM- und Prozessmodellierungs-Tools, um Transformationen ganzheitlich zu steuern – von Geschäftsarchitektur über Prozesse bis hin zu Anwendungen, Daten und Technologien? In dieser Abschlussarbeit entwickelst Du genau dafür eine systematische Funktionslandkarte samt Bewertungsmethode und lieferst damit eine praktische Entscheidungsgrundlage für Toolauswahl und -architektur in Unternehmen.

The FIR is a cross-industry research and training institution at RWTH Aachen University in the field of business organization and corporate IT with the aim of creating the organizational foundations for the digitally networked company of the future. By researching and transferring innovative solutions, the FIR contributes to increasing the competitiveness of companies.
The FIR contributes to increasing the competitiveness of companies by researching and transferring innovative solutions. This is carried out in the appropriate infrastructure for experimental organizational research in a methodologically sound, scientifically rigorous manner and with the direct involvement of experts from industry.
The focus is on industrial verticals as use cases. These are currently: Future Logistics, Smart Services/Maintenance, Smart Buildings and Smart Mobility. The institute supports companies, researches, qualifies and teaches in the areas of service management, business transformation, information management and production management. As a member of the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations, the FIR promotes research and development for the benefit of small, medium-sized and large companies.
