Job Description

Procell Professional Batteries, From the Duracell company, is seeking a high-calibre Key Account Manager to lead and grow the DACH territory — covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This is a senior individual contributor role, reflecting the strategic importance and commercial complexity of the DACH market to the Procell European business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of key distribution and trade accounts across the DACH region, driving revenue growth, delivering against budget, and building long-term customer relationships. They will operate with a significant degree of autonomy, contributing to the overall results of the Segment/Functional team and playing an active role in shaping commercial strategy for the region.

Purpose of the Role:

The Professional Aftermarket Account Manager represents the Duracell company in their specific markets, both internally and externally. The Account Manager is responsible for sustainably growing revenue and operating income of the Professional Aftermarket business while focusing on developing sales managing Battery specialist account and to find new sustainable business opportunities and promoting the new Duracell B2B strategy in the professional battery market.

The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that Procell is the preferred choice of battery supply for battery specialist distributors and professional end users, by promoting Procell as the best brand with the best battery technology. The Account Manager will act as an entrepreneur with cost efficiency mindset, and they will look for new customers, ideally in the following industries: Medical, Hospitality, Premises, Public Tenders, HORECA, Transportation, and Manufacturing, in line with the company’s strategy and guidelines, while safeguarding the assets of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

The KAM DACH is accountable for the following core responsibilities:

1. Deliver Territory Revenue & Budget Performance

Own and deliver against the annual revenue budget and growth targets across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, managing performance across both the Service Contract, MRO and distrbution channels with regular forecasting and pipeline reporting.

2. Manage & Develop Key Accounts

Act as the primary commercial contact for the DACH account portfolio including a select number of Master Distributors but with a focus on developing the brand with direct supply. Building deep, trust-based relationships with senior customer stakeholders and leading Joint Business Planning processes to drive mutual growth.

3. Identify & Win New Business

Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities and prospective accounts within the DACH territory, targeting direct supply opportunities as well gaining share from existing account portfolio.

4. Contribute to Regional Commercial Strategy

Provide market intelligence, customer insight and competitive analysis to inform the DACH commercial strategy, contributing to operational planning and inputting into the broader European sales team's 5-year strategic direction.

5. Drive Process & Commercial Innovation

Identify and recommend improvements to processes and commercial approaches to enhance team performance, problem-solving complex multi-stakeholder challenges by drawing on experience and analysis.

6. Communicate & Influence Across Stakeholders

Represent the DACH market effectively to internal teams (Sales Director, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) and externally to customers and suppliers, explaining Procell's policies, practices and principles to influence others at an operational level

7. Monitor, Report & Manage Territory Performance

Create, monitor and report on territory performance on a regular basis — tracking actuals vs budget, identifying risks and opportunities proactively, and making recommendations to the Sales Director to ensure the DACH region stays on plan.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven track record in a senior sales or key account management role within one or more of Procell’s key channels: Security, Facilities Management, Medical, Hygiene, or Industrial.

  • An established network of professional contacts within the DACH market across one or more target channels (Security, Facilities Management, Medical, Hygiene, or Industrial), with the ability to leverage these relationships to drive new battery sales opportunities.

  • Minimum 5 years of B2B commercial experience, with a demonstrable track record of managing and growing customer relationships in the DACH market, ideally within Security, Facilities Management, Medical, Hygiene, or Industrial sectors.

  • Experience selling consumable or recurring supply products into channel verticals such as Security systems, Medical devices, Hygiene dispensers, or Facilities and Industrial operations.

  • University degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or commensurate industry experience within a target channel sector.

  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) — essential for this territory.

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience of forecasting, budgeting and territory planning, combined with the ability to identify and quantify battery usage opportunities within target channel accounts.

  • Ability to operate independently and with entrepreneurial drive, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across Security, Facilities Management, Medical, Hygiene, and Industrial channels with limited day-to-day oversight.

  • Strong negotiation skills with high resilience under pressure, and the confidence to position Procell as the preferred battery brand with both distributors and professional end users across target channels.
  • A hunter mentality with a high level of entrepreneurial spirit, personal accountability, and ethical standards — motivated by uncovering new battery sales opportunities and growing revenue within channel verticals.

  • Willingness to travel frequently (35% of the time), both domestically and internationally.

  • Team player that is willing to jump in, has a strong mindset to identify and convert new business

  • Full driving license is required
