About the role

The ANZ B2B Marketing Lead is the accountable market owner for OpenAI’s B2B marketing strategy, execution, and outcomes across Australia and New Zealand. They set priorities with local GTM leadership, translate global and regional strategy into locally effective programs, and drive measurable pipeline, adoption, and customer trust. They remain hands-on while drawing on regional and global specialists, represent ANZ customer and market needs in broader planning, and build the operating model and capabilities needed to scale.

The role prioritises enterprise and mid-market opportunities across Australia and New Zealand, while coordinating startup, developer, and partner programs with regional and global specialists. You will partner closely with Sales, Partnerships, Product Marketing, Communications, Legal, APAC Marketing, and Global Marketing to set local priorities, activate relevant programs, and bring ANZ customer and market insights into broader planning.

Responsibilities

• Own ANZ B2B marketing strategy and investment recommendations across Australia and New Zealand, prioritizing enterprise and mid-market opportunities in alignment with local GTM, regional, and global goals
• Plan and run integrated marketing programs across ABM, field events, executive programs, roundtables, partner co-marketing, customer stories
• Activate global and regional campaigns for the ANZ market, adapting messaging, channels, proof points, and execution for local audiences
• Create high-impact local content, including customer stories, executive narratives, sales enablement, newsletters, and campaign assets
• Partner with Sales to identify priority enterprise and mid-market accounts, industries, pipeline gaps, and buyer objections across Australia and New Zealand
• Work with Product Marketing, APAC Marketing, and Global Marketing to adapt launches and B2B narratives for audiences across Australia and New Zealand
• Coordinate with Comms, Global Affairs, Legal, and policy partners on trust-sensitive messaging and external programs
• Build partner marketing strategies with priority ecosystem, channel, and industry partners, drawing on Partnerships and regional and global marketing specialists
• Coordinate startup and developer programs with the relevant specialist teams as part of the ANZ B2B plan
• Manage agencies, vendors, timelines, budgets, reporting, and post-campaign measurement
• Establish operating rhythms and performance dashboards for ANZ B2B marketing
• Represent ANZ customer and market needs in regional and global planning, advising leadership on opportunities, risks, and investment priorities
• Identify capability gaps and recommend the resourcing, specialist support, and operating model needed to scale ANZ B2B marketing

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in B2B, enterprise, field, demand generation, or integrated marketing, with substantial ANZ B2B market experience
• Proven experience driving measurable B2B pipeline and adoption through integrated demand generation, field marketing, events, and content programs
• Proven experience building and executing account-based marketing (ABM) programs for strategic enterprise accounts, with measurable account engagement and pipeline impact
• Proven experience executing integrated marketing programs that translate global or regional campaigns into locally relevant messaging, channels, content, and activation
• Strong understanding of enterprise and mid-market buying dynamics across Australia and New Zealand, including trust, risk, privacy, procurement, partner influence, and stakeholder alignment
• Full professional English fluency with strong writing, editing, and content production judgment for audiences across Australia and New Zealand
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Comms, Legal, Partnerships, and regional and global teams
• Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple programs, agencies, vendors, budgets, and stakeholders
• Analytical ability to connect marketing activity to pipeline, account engagement, adoption, and business outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to own market strategy and hands-on execution, prioritise investment, and build repeatable marketing capabilities in ambiguous environments
• Strong stakeholder influence and ability to bring local customer and market insight into regional and global planning
• Proven ability to build and execute integrated marketing plans across relevant B2B channels, including brand, digital, and influencer channels

Preferred qualifications

• Experience marketing AI, developer, SaaS, infrastructure, cloud, data, or other technical products
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo, event platforms, and marketing analytics tools
• Partner marketing experience, ideally including partner-led GTM and ecosystem co-marketing in ANZ
• Experience with regulated or trust-sensitive industries such as financial services, healthcare, public sector, education, or professional services
• Experience in startups, high-growth technology companies, or global-local matrix organizations
• An existing network across ANZ enterprise technology, partner, agency, creative, production, or industry communities
• Deep understanding of the business and consumer landscape, cultural context, and media and marketing dynamics across Australia and New Zealand
