B Pressure Rig Welder

To work at our Air Products project in Edmonton, AB.

• SALARY: $124.44
• START DATE: ASAP
• SCHEDULE: 5/2
• HOURS PER DAY: 10 hours per day
• PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
• SHIFT: Dayshift
• DURATION: 6+ months

Responsibilities:

• Develop and or interpret patterns and blue prints.
• Perform different welding processes and fillers depending upon the type of metal, its size and shape, and requirements for finished product strength.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using different processes
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding extra layers
• Clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch
• May perform other duties as assigned
• Complete all required safety documentation

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Journeyperson or Apprenticeship Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
• B-Pressure and CWB SMAW(F4) CS S & SMAW(F5) SS S
• GTAW experience will be the most important. Required tickets are F6/F4, F6/F5, F3/F4
• Must be willing to attend safety training (paid by WorleyCord): CSTS, H2S, WHMIS2015, EWP, Fall Protection, Confined Space
• Strong communication skills written and verbal
• Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
