Who are you?

An experienced Systems Administrator who is comfortable troubleshooting and maintaining an entire network stack. You understand how to troubleshoot web applications running on Azure and manage, patch and upgrade software systems and infrastructure. You will have experience working within a Security and Compliance controlled environment and have a passion for improvements. We are looking for someone comfortable scripting and sculpting systems to make technology work for our business. You’re hungry to learn more, you wake up each day to challenge yourself and learn more, using your skills to help the company become more agile and grow.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working with the development and Azure teams to run, update and maintain a DevOps solution for upgrading the many Azure customer implementations
  • Resolving outage incidents and investigate performance issues with SmartCommunications and SmartIQ applications in Azure
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the corporate and development infrastructure
  • Working closely with the DBA team to analyse and resolve customer issues
  • Identify potential business improvements and suggest solutions for these
  • Maintain compliance and adhere to the company policies regarding the security of the application systems
  • Work towards improving availability of the SaaS applications along with identifying potential issues and bottlenecks that could occur


What we're looking for:
Must have skills/experience:

  • Networking –Network knowledge of TCPIP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs.
  • Automation technologies – You must have a proven history utilizing automation to improve business process or implement new systems using tools like Powershell, VMWare API, Application APIs, Azure DevOps.
  • Cloud Experience – Experience supporting and managing Public Clouds, we use AWS and Azure
  • Operating Systems – You must have a good working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux being able to perform installations and configurations on these environments without help.
  • Virtualization Experience – You must be comfortable using a Virtualized Environment such as VMWare.
  • Monitoring Systems – You must have a good working knowledge of configuring and using Monitoring Systems – We use Zabbix and CloudWatch
  • ITIL – You must understand the basic principles of ITIL, including Change Management, Problem Management and Incident Management.
  • Problem Analysis – You must be able to take on a Technical problem that we are facing in our Application and Infrastructure stack and restore service according to play books.
  • Security & Compliance – You must have practical experience operating in a compliance and security monitored environment, we operate PCI DSS, SOC2, HIPAA and ISO 27001.

Advantageous skills/experience:

  • SAN Storage – Knowledge of SAN systems, we use NetApp FAS.
