Azure Security Architect

The Azure Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, documenting and managing security solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform in alignment with the organization’s strategy. This role demands a deep understanding of cloud security of our application landscape, the current underlying architectural patterns, excellent technical skills, and the ability to engage directly with clients to ensure their security needs are met. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for managing the security posture within the organization, ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices.

As our Azure Security Architect, you....

• Develop and implement cloud security architectures using Azure services to protect client and organizational data.

• Act as the primary security advisor for clients, understanding their security requirements and translating them into effective solutions

• Lead the d eployment of security solutions such as Azure Defender, Azure Sentinel, Azure Key Vault and Azure firewall.

• Ensure all cloud solutions comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA).

• Develop and implement incident response plans and lead efforts to investigate and resolve security incidents

• Oversee the organization’s security posture, perform regular security assessments, and implement necessary improvements.

• Monitor security solutions, generate reports and provide insights to management and clients.

• Create detailed security documentation and provide training to clients and internal teams on security best practices.

• Engage with Microsoft to discuss our experiences with the platform and get early insights on their product roadmap

As our ideal candidate you bring…

• at least 3-5 years’ experience as a technical architect, with a solid technical background on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform Including (but not limited to)

• Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel

• Azure App Services, Logic Apps, Azure Functions

• Storage accounts concepts (Blobs, Files)

• Networking concepts (Vnet, peering, hub & spoke architecture …)

• Virtual Machine troubleshooting (OS related, events, security breaches …)

• Automation experience (ARM, Biceps, Powershell,…)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, understand their security needs.

• Excellent teamwork and leadership abilities Able to manage client relationships effectively and work collaboratively with internal teams.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve security issues efficiently.

• Relevant Azure certifications are highly desirable

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert -> AZ-305

Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert -> AZ-400

Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate -> AZ-500

• Flexible to travel (non-structural)

• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a consulting or customer-facing role, familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus, knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Biceps templates, background in cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g. NIST, Mitre Attack, ISO 27001).
