Job Title: Customer-Facing Azure Migration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Customer-Facing Azure Migration Engineer with a strong background in large-scale workload migrations to Azure Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers, architects, and internal delivery teams to design, plan, and execute cloud migration strategies in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong customer engagement skills, and hands-on experience delivering end-to-end migration projects.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a customer-facing technical lead for AZURE migration engagements, owning solution design and migration execution.
Assess existing on-premises and cloud workloads and recommend migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, retain).
Design and implement hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-premises environments with AZURE.
Lead and execute workload migrations including compute, storage, databases, and applications to AZURE.
Use and manage AZURE migration tools such as Migrate to Virtual Machines, Database Migration Service (DMS), Transfer Appliance, and Storage Transfer Service.
Collaborate with security, networking, and platform teams to ensure migrations meet security, compliance, and performance standards.
Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting migration issues, performance tuning, and post-migration validation.
Create and maintain technical documentation, migration runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
Conduct customer workshops, technical deep dives, and knowledge transfer sessions.
Required Skills & expertise
6+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 3+ years in cloud technologies.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Platform services:
Compute Engine, Azure migrate, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, vNet, Landing zone
Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Spanner (preferred)
Proven experience in workload migrations to AZURE from on-premises or other clouds.
Solid understanding of hybrid cloud architectures, networking (VPN, Interconnect), and identity integration.
Experience with Linux/Windows systems, virtualization (VMware), and containerized workloads.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager will be an advantage).
Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar is an advantage).
Good Networking knowledge: VNet, DNS, LB, SSL, proxy, VPN, routing, Hub and spoke
Excellent customer communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Google Cloud Certifications such as:
Microsoft azure Engineer Certification
Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer (good to have)
Professional Cloud Network Engineer ( good to have)
Experience with SAP, Oracle, or large enterprise application migrations.
Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
Experience working in consulting or professional services roles.
