Job Title: Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (TNDL – Amsterdam)

Max Rate: €70/hour
We are looking for a skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Azure, Terraform, and Linux environments to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure core services, infrastructure automation, and cloud security best practices, working closely with DevOps and application teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available Azure infrastructure
Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
Manage Azure networking components including:
Virtual Networks (VNets)
Network Security Groups (NSGs)
VPN Gateways
Load Balancers
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
Configure and manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to support deployments
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and performance issues
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
Ensure adherence to cloud security best practices and compliance standards
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure core services (VMs, Storage, Networking)
Proven experience with:
Azure Virtual Machines
Azure VNet & Networking
Azure Load Balancer
Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
Knowledge of Azure Active Directory (AAD) and RBAC
Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, Subnets)
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
Basic scripting skills ( PowerShell / Bash)
Experience working in Agile environments
Exposure to Red Hat Linux / Linux administration
Preferred Skills
Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)
Familiarity with cloud security and compliance standards
Experience with hybrid cloud environments (On-prem + Azure)
Understanding of cost optimization and governance
Experience with Terraform modules and automation frameworks
Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
Familiarity with ITIL processes
Exposure to serverless services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps)
Relevant Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, etc.)
