This role is situated in the strategic area of Sales Platforms. You will be working on driving and scaling innovative digital commerce ecosystems, including SiePortal. SiePortal is Siemens’ comprehensive, unified B2B platform that combines the functionalities of the Industry Mall and Siemens Industry Online Support (SIOS) under one roof, optimizing product discovery, configuration, purchasing, and digital workflow support for our global industrial customer base.
As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will:
Design CI/CD Pipelines: Build, optimize, and maintain automated release pipelines using Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts).Implement deployment strategies such as blue-green and rolling deployments to ensure reliable software delivery.
Manage Infrastructure as Code: Provision and scale cloud infrastructure programmatically using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
Manage Cloud-Native Platforms: Design, deploy, and operate containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS). Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
Support Solution Architects: Partner with architects to implement integration scenarios, hybrid cloud setups, networking concepts, and secure connectivity solutions across enterprise platforms
Drive DevSecOps Practices: Integrate automated security scanning, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks directly into the deployment pipelines.
Implement Cloud Policies: Enforce Siemens cloud governance, RBAC models, identity management, and security regulations across all environments.
Collaborate in Agile Teams: Break down technical requirements into realizable user stories, collaborating closely with Product Owners and developers.
Monitor and Optimize: Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability, system performance, and operational transparency.
Optimize Cloud Consumption: Support cost management and resource optimization initiatives by implementing tagging strategies, governance controls, and continuous cost monitoring across Azure environments.
To make a difference, you must have:
5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering with a heavy focus on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
Strong IaC Expertise: Proven experience setting up and managing underlying infrastructure as code in Azure.
Pipeline Automation: Hands-on mastery of Azure Pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment. Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent technologies.
Azure Service Familiarity: Experience working with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Managed SQL instances, Virtual Machines, Service Bus, Storage Accounts, Azure Key Vault, and Managed Identities, combined with practical experience deploying and operating containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Networking & Security Identity: Solid understanding of Azure networking (Subnets, Private Endpoints, VNets) and identity management (Azure AD/Entra ID, RBAC, Zero Trust principles).
API & Gateway Knowledge: Familiarity with Azure API Management (APIM), API lifecycle management, routing, authentication, and integration patterns.
Monitoring and Reliability: Experience implementing observability solutions and operational metrics using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar technologies.
Agile Mindset: Practical experience working within agile frameworks like Scrum or SAFe.
Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
