Job Title: Azure Data Engineer / Developer
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Work Model: Complete Onsite

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer / Developer to join our team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and optimizing data pipelines, transforming and cleansing large datasets, and ensuring high-quality, scalable data solutions for analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Transform, cleanse, and optimize raw data for analytics and reporting purposes.
• Build robust ETL/ELT workflows using Azure-native technologies.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization across data platforms.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Analysts, Architects, and Business Stakeholders.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and system performance.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6–8 years of experience in Data Engineering and Azure-based solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure SQL Database
• Strong programming expertise in:
  • Python
  • PySpark
  • SQL
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and modern cloud-based architectures.
• Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in enterprise-level Azure data platform implementations is highly preferred.
