Gastro Care Partners is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless and welcoming patient experience from registration through scheduling and check-in.

Work Authorization & Residency Requirements
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout their employment. Gastro Care Partners does not provide employment visa sponsorship now for this position. Additionally, employees hired for this position must reside in the State of Arizona no later than their first day of employment and maintain residency in Arizona throughout their employment in this role.

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour plus Full Benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet patients, families, and visitors, ensuring a positive and professional first impression.
- Register patients and verify all necessary demographic, insurance, and medical information.
- Provide patient education regarding procedure preparation, insurance requirements, and billing processes.
- Schedule patients for various clinical services with accuracy and efficiency.
- Answer incoming phone calls, address inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support daily operations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive patient information at all times to ensure compliance with HIPAA and all organizational policies

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of experience in healthcare, front office, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume environment
- Proficiency with EMR systems preferred
- Basic understanding of insurance verification and scheduling processes preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Frequent use of hands for computer use, phone systems, and documentation
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone
- Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 20 pounds (e.g., office supplies, files)
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform routine office-related physical tasks as needed

Work Environment
- Full-time, in-person position in a clinical office setting
- Regular interaction with patients, providers, and clinical staff
- Fast-paced environment requiring professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork
Conditions of Employment
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check as a condition of employment
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana
- Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining compliance with organizational policies and standards
