of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): The Programming Board Student Spirit Activities Organizer is responsible for overseeing the planning and facilitation of all Programming Board events which fall under the “music” program area including planning Rock the Hill, coordinating with our campus bands, and contracting with outside talent. In doing so, the Program Coordinator engages the general membership of the Programming Board in planning, facilitation, and assessment of events.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning and facilitation of all music events. Including, but not limited to:
Rock the Hill
Campus band performances
Contracted music performances
Tiny desk concerts
Engage Programming Board general membership in the planning, facilitation, and assessment of events.
Maintain a programming calendar that includes music programs every two weeks, at minimum.
Collaborate with Late Night Coordinators for Pause Dances.
Attend all Programming Board and Programming Board Executive Board meetings and training.
Meet bi-weekly with the Associate Director of Student Activities.
Participate in the semesterly calendar planning retreats.
Maintain two weekly office hours in the Office of Student Activities.
Assist with Office of Student Activities initiatives including but not limited to training, programming reports, Presence data review, financial reports, etc.
Work Programming Board’s “All Hands on Deck” events including, but not limited to, Night in Buntrock, Night in Skog, Fall Block Party, SpringFest, President’s Ball, and Casino Night.
Volunteer for a minimum of three other Programming Board events, excluding “All Hands on Deck” events.
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
Prior experience with campus programming is required, service on the Programming Board is preferred.
