We are currently looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Solution Architect to join our team and help our enterprise customers navigate and conquer their cloud journeys. As an AWS Cloud Solution Architect at Span, you will be at the forefront of our clients' digital evolution. You will serve as the technical authority and strategic advisor for designing, deploying, and optimizing cloud-native and hybrid solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work closely with global enterprise clients to understand their business goals, assess their current IT landscapes, and formulate robust cloud strategies. Whether you are spearheading a complex migration from on-premises to AWS for a manufacturing giant, or modernizing an existing cloud infrastructure for a leading bank, you will be the driving force behind scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.

What you'll do:

• Lead architectural discussions and design sessions with enterprise clients to create innovative, highly available, and secure AWS cloud solutions.
• Develop comprehensive cloud adoption, migration, and modernization strategies tailored to clients in diverse industries (banking, logistics, food & beverage, etc.).
• Design and document technical architectures, topologies, and implementation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and project management teams to ensure flawless execution of AWS deployments.
• Provide technical guidance and thought leadership on AWS best practices, Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), and Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex technical concepts to both C-level executives and engineering teams.

What we expect:

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud infrastructure design and administration.
• 3+ years of dedicated experience as a Cloud Architect, designing and implementing AWS solutions for enterprise-grade environments.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud migrations (re-host, re-platform, re-factor) for global customers.
• Experience working in consulting, client-facing, or professional services environments, handling enterprise clients.
• Deep understanding of core AWS services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, Security, and Management tools).
• Mastery of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and enterprise architecture patterns.
• Proficiency in automating infrastructure using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong grasp of AWS security concepts (IAM, KMS, WAF, Security Groups) and networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect).
• Experience with ECS, Kubernetes (EKS), and AWS serverless computing (Lambda) as well as Load Balancing solutions (ALB, NLB etc.)
• Proficiency in English written and spoken
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certificate is highly preferred

Skills that will bring you extra points:

• Basic to medium knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Understanding how AWS compares to other major cloud providers is a strong plus for our multi-cloud strategy.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience dealing with the specific regulatory and compliance needs of industries like banking or manufacturing.
