We welcome fearless thinkers.
For over 100 years, we've stood up for people when they need us most. With courage and compassion, we've helped countless Australians get access to justice. We look past the immediate problem, back people through the moments that matter, and keep pushing for better outcomes for our clients. We back our people to do the same, and to go fearlessly forward together.
Our work is real cases with real results in people's lives. It's why we're one of Australia's most respected law firms. Maurice Blackburn, experience you can count on.
The AWS landscape is yours. As our Senior Cloud Engineer in our Connect team, you'll own its architecture, roadmap and day-to-day health. You'll solve what’s not working and decide what improves next.
You'll also put AI agents to work on live operations: agents that flag cost spikes, triage support issues, and find vulnerabilities before anyone else does. You build the guardrails that keep them safe, and you decide when a person needs to step in.
Our systems hold client information and support client-facing work, so security and reliability matter here. You'll have the autonomy to solve hard problems and the backing to try new ideas, and the impact will be visible.
You see the big picture and still love getting hands-on. You take ownership, work through complex problems end to end, and work well with technology and security teams.
Experience building governed self-service platforms, coding-agent environments or AI-enabled operational tooling will be highly regarded.
A degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is welcome. AWS certifications help, but we care most about what you've delivered.

For more than 100 years, Maurice Blackburn has had a proud history that includes the 40-hour workweek, the largest and most significant class action settlement in Australian history for the Black Saturday bushfires, protecting women and children on Manus Island and Nauru, and defending underpaid 7-Eleven employees.
With over 1,100 employees across 33 offices in Australia, our staff are empathetic, genuine and tenacious. We leave no stone unturned to win a case. So far, we have helped over 500,000 Australians seek justice.
Like our clients, our lawyers come from all kinds of backgrounds and have various experiences and expertise. All employees have the opportunity to participate in multiple firm-based committees, including the Women's Law Section, Indigenous, Diversity, Social Justice and Sustainability committees.
